On this site you will find some pictures illustrating the restoration of John Davis MG TD. Story and photos by Pat Davis - thank you very much!
Will be continued - but this depends on restoration progress, John!

31st May 2001: This project will remain unfinished.
John Davis passed away this night after serious illness.
We will remember him in our thoughts.

Once upon a time there was a boy named John who bought a shiney new MG. That was in 1951. In 1954 he took a wife and the next year they moved, with their MG into a new house. (Years later, another MG would move across the street and end up with the Pichler's in Germany. But that's another story!). Anyway, here's the new house and the almost new MG and wife (photo is taken 1955).
As the years passed, John got old. The wife got old. The MG got old. They tried to restore them all without success--except the MG. That, they are valiantly trying to do.
But where did the engine go?
Maybe he'll replace it with a squirrel running around in a wheel?
OK. So we've stripped all the paint off the body. Now, how do we go about stripping the wrinkles off the wife??? (Note: not necessary to remove the body from the chassis for the restoration. The car, of course, not the wife!)
Hey, there's the engine. It didn't get replaced by a squirrel after all!
